In this edition of 'Meet the Teacher' we speak with Mrs Rochelle Coyle from the Secondary School.

Name: Rochelle Coyle - Secondary School Teacher/Head of Chisholm Guild - rochelle.coyle@marymede.vic.edu.au

What is your role at the College?

I am the Head of Chisholm Guild, a Secondary School English teacher (Years 9-12), and the C-Grade Debating Team Coach.

Tell us about an interesting project or topic that you are currently working on?

Chisholm has recently elected the Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project as our Guild Charity.  Just like our Guild patron Caroline Chisholm, BASP offer support to new immigrants and advocate for the rights of Asylum Seekers.

My Guild and I excited about establishing an ongoing relationship between Chisholm and BASP.

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a Teacher?

It is always wonderful to see students reach their full potential and navigate a pathway they are passionate about.  I love that even though I am their teacher, I am constantly challenged and learning new things from my students.

Fast Five:

Favourite Food: Chocolate

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Currently addicted to Masterchef.

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: I am starting to develop a bit of a green thumb!

If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why?:

My Husband - Because he's a better cook than me!

My Mum & Dad - Because they're always good company.

...and I better invite my Sister too!
