Psychologist – supporting the social-emotional wellbeing of our students here at Marymede.

Tell us about an interesting project or topic that you are currently working on?

Amy Ross (College Psychologist) and I are currently working on developing a group program to help our senior Secondary school student’s manage anxiety and worries. We are hoping to start rolling out this program with small groups later in the year. Additionally, I was recently in New York presenting my doctoral research paper entitled “Alcohol Consumption and Psychological Distress: A Study in Australian Adolescents.” Over the past 5 years I have been undertaking a Doctor of Clinical Psychology at Deakin University. I am currently in the final stages of completing my thesis and am aiming to submit it in a few months time.

What do you love most about Marymede Catholic College?

Getting to work closely with many of our students to support them in achieving their goals and/or overcoming a difficult time in their life.

If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why?: Roger Federer, Barrack   Obama and Kate Middleton because I admire their demeanor and how well these 3 international figures consistently hold themselves in the public eye.
