News date:

School closure at Marymede Catholic College from Monday 3 August

We wish to advise you that Marymede Catholic College will not be operational from Monday 3 August due to a member of the school community returning a positive test for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The school is working closely with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to assist it to conduct the contact tracing process.

We will be in contact with the school community again when we have received advice from the DHHS and the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria Ltd (CECV) in regard to the resumption of school operations.

There will no onsite supervision program for 3 – 7 August. Remote learning for Prep to 10 will continue and will resume for senior secondary students. All students will continue to learn and will be provided with the same tasks to complete.

The school’s Early Learning Centre is unaffected and will be open next week.

The safety and wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such, we will continue to work closely with the DHHS and the CECV, and implement their advice.

Further information on COVID-19 is available on the DHHS and CECV websites.
