Enrolments

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. At Marymede Catholic College, we offer a nurturing and inclusive environment where students are supported to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. 

We invite you to experience our College firsthand by attending a campus tour, where you’ll discover how Marymede empowers students to flourish and aspire to grow, lead and serve.

Marymede Catholic College is a young and vibrant school community with an established co-educational Prep – Year 12 Campus located in the northern suburb of South Morang, with a new Years 7-12 Campus and Early Learning Centre now open in Doreen (opened in 2024 and growing to full capacity by 2029)

We have two key enrolment intakes:

• Prep (South Morang only)
• Year 7 (at both campuses)

Students may also apply for other year levels (Years 1–6 and Years 8–12), depending on availability. Applicants will be invited to an enrolment interview should a place become available.

Doreen Campus growth:
The Doreen Campus opened in 2025 with year 7, and expanded in 2025 to Year 7 and Year 8. Year 9 will be available from 2026 and Year 10 in 2027 until the campus is complete with Year 7 -12 by 2029. Key Dates

• Prep 2026: Applications closed 31 May 2025 – limited places still available.
• Year 7 2026: Waitlists now apply for both campuses – you may still apply online to join the waitlist.
• Prep 2027: Opens January 2026, closes 31 May 2026.
• Year 7 2027: Applications open now and close Friday 15 August 2025. Interviews will occur in Term 3, with offers posted Friday 17 October 2025.

Please note: All enrolling families must agree to our Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct as part of the application.

How does the Enrolment Process work? << Tiles with expanding info>>

• DISCOVER: We invite families to explore our website and discover how Marymede can provide a differentiated education for your child. Make sure to note our key enrolment dates below.

• ENQUIRE: complete a general enquiry form and our Enrolments Team will be in contact to answer any questions you have about intake availability, closing dates and the transition process.

• VISIT: We would love to see you at one of our Campus Tours or our annual Open Days at each Campus. Attending an on-campus event is a great way to get to know our College community and connect with key staff to answer any specific questions you may have.

• APPLY: complete an online application form. Details regarding the required documents and fee payable is noted below.
• Prep Applications are due by 31 May the year prior to entry.
  • Year 7 Applications are due by mid-August the year the child is in Year 5.

You'll need to upload:

• Birth Certificate (or Passport/Visa if not an Australian citizen)
• Baptism Certificate
• Immunisation Statement
• Most recent school reports (not application for Prep applications)
• NAPLAN results (if applicable)
• Medical and additional needs information (if applicable)
• Any court/parenting orders (if relevant)

Important: Some year levels may have waitlists. Please check availability before applying.

Secondary School Applicants will be required to select a Campus on the application form – please note our catchment rules below.

• ENROLMENT INTERVIEW: all applicants for the main intake Years (Prep and Year 7) will be invited attend an enrolment interview. Applicants for other entry years will be invited to an enrolment interview is a place is available and their application is next on the wait list.
• Prep Interviews take place in May/June year prior to entry.
  • Year 7 Interviews take place in July - September the year the child is in Year 5.

• OFFER OF ENROLMENT: if your child’s application has been successful, you will receive a letter of offer and an online Enrolment Acceptance Form. 
• Prep First Round Offers are made at the end of June in the year prior to entry
  • Year 7 First Round Offers are made mid-October the year the child is in Year 5

• ACCEPTANCE: Complete your online Enrolment Acceptance Form by the due date noted in your offer letter. This form requires a non-transferrable, non-refundable fee of $600, $500 of which will be apply to your first year’s tuition fees upon commencement

• TRANSITION: Once your offer has been accepted, your child will be invited to participate in the Transition program, which commences in Term 3 the year prior to commencement.

Catchment Areas

Our Campuses are zoned to two separate catchment areas – please refer to our catchment maps <<insert Link>> Exceptions may apply for families who live in the Doreen Catchment area and who have a siblings already enrolled at South Morang before April 7, 2022.

If a campus is full, you may be offered a place at the other campus if space allows.

For families outside both catchments, the College will allocate the closest campus based on driving distance.
