What does Fostering a Positive Culture and Environment mean?
Our approach is grounded in the belief that a strong, respectful, and inclusive culture is essential for meaningful learning and personal growth.
We take responsibility for creating a safe environment where students, staff, and families feel secure and supported. All staff and volunteers receive comprehensive training in child safety, and we maintain high standards across all physical spaces to ensure they are well-maintained, inclusive, and conducive to learning and play. We actively promote a culture where students feel safe to speak up, and we stand firmly against all forms of racism and discrimination.
As a connected community, we prioritise open, respectful communication and strong relationships. We work in partnership with families through our active Parents and Friends Association, engage with our alumni network, and build meaningful connections with the local community. Through professional learning and community forums, we continue to grow together in shared purpose.
We are also a responsive College, committed to continuous improvement. We seek feedback, review our practices, and implement change to meet the evolving needs of our students and families. Our facilities and technologies are designed to be contemporary and future-focused, anticipating growth and supporting next-practice learning environments.
Sustainability is a core value at Marymede. We educate our community on responsible waste management, encourage recycling and upcycling, and plan our resource use and building programs with future generations in mind. By embedding sustainable practices into daily life, we empower students to become stewards of the environment and thoughtful global citizens.
