At Marymede Catholic College, we are proud to offer a vibrant and expanding Music Program that nurtures creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

Music at Marymede

Music is more than a subject, it is a growing, vibrant part of College life. Our Music program has had a recent redevelopment and is growing to inspire students from Prep to Year 12 to explore their creativity, develop their talents and experience the joy of making music in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Whether students are taking their first steps in music, learning an instrument, singing in an ensemble, performing on stage or pursuing advanced studies, there is a pathway for every learner to grow and succeed. Through engaging classroom programs, instrumental lessons, bands, choirs, ensembles and performance opportunities, students build confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills that extend far beyond the music room.

Led by passionate music educators and professional musicians, the program provides students with authentic and meaningful musical experiences. From College concerts and productions to community events, liturgies and special celebrations, students are encouraged to share their gifts, connect with others and contribute to the rich culture of the College.

With outstanding facilities, a thriving co-curricular program and a strong commitment to excellence, Marymede offers students the opportunity to discover their potential, develop a lifelong love of music and become confident, creative and compassionate young people.

Every student has the opportunity to find their voice, share their talents and be part of a thriving musical community.

Strategic Vision

Music Framework

Building on from our Strategic Plan, we set out to develop a Framework that combines all areas of our Strategic Vision. Our aim was to design a model that highlights the importance of each element, not as separate parts, but are interconnected and mutually supported. When looking to develop a visual representation of our Framework, we created a design that reflects a continuous, circular motion, symbolising progress, growth, and connection.

Annual Action Plan

Each year, our focus will be shaped by Annual Action Goals aligned with the priorities of the Music Framework and Strategic Plan.
