Our school uniform is important for a number of reasons. It is a public declaration of our values, standards and beliefs. It creates a sense of collective and individual pride in our children and their identification with the College. It is a symbol of equality among students and demonstrates mutual respect within the Marymede Catholic College community.

Students at Marymede Catholic College have three uniforms:

1. Academic summer uniform worn during Term 1 & 4
2. Academic winter uniform worn during Term 2 & 3
3. PE Uniform worn on days where students have a timetabled PE class - additionally each student is required to purchase a House color polo shirt and cap (cap - primary students) which are worn on House-days and sporting carnivals.

Footwear

The College has the following expectations regarding footwear:​​​​​​

Summer and Winter Academic Uniform

Acceptable

• Black leather lace up shoes, ‘T-Bar’ shoes and ‘Bar’ shoes with a regular heel only.
• Velcro black school shoes are acceptable if your child cannot tie up shoelaces.
• 

Not Acceptable

• Flat/Ballet style shoes
• Black sneakers/trainers/runners
• Any shoe which is not black in colour

Sports Uniform 

During Physical Education classes in Primary or Healtht and Physical Education in Secondary, students take part in a large amount of active and running fitness sessions. The expected and acceptable footwear MUST be supportive and designed to protect the feet during these types of activities. Safety is of paramount importance therefore the College regulations are listed below. These expectations also apply to Sports Carnivals, Co-Curricular Sport and House events where student are in Sports Uniform. Please note that some Co-Curricular Sport teams may require specialised footwear.

Well-constructed sporting footwear should have the following features:

• A lacing system designed to support the ankle
• Arch support
• Heel support
